Kevin Meehan Establishing Community-Based Clean Energy Programs San José Community Energy San Jose, CA KEVIN MEEHAN combines 13 years of corporate sector experience with deep expertise in environmental sustainability and management. His areas of focus include operational sustainability, renewable energy policy, and compensatory mitigation. Most recently, he worked with the Environmental Defense Fund’s Climate Corps. He also has worked in program management, sales, and factory management in the consumer electronics and automotive industries in China, North America, and South America. Kevin holds an MA in international environmental policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, an MS from NYU, and a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. PROJECT San Jose is working to create a clean-energy program that offers competitive rates to residents. FUSE executive fellow Kevin Meehan will lead the development of the program, and design a plan for implementation. In addition to helping San Jose meet its long-term climate-action goals, the initiative will benefit the community by offering a choice of energy providers, creating local jobs, and promoting economic growth.
