Alfred Carpionato

Carpionato Group CEO Alfred Carpionato, one of Rhode Island’s most well-known developers died at age 75 in August 2018. Carpionato led the family-owned real estate development company for more than six decades. He was a major donor, and landlord, to Rhode Island political candidates of both parties over the years. Carpionato is survived by his wife, Sheryl, and two children, Domenic and Louis. With Carpionato’s death, the Carpionato Group will be overseen by a four-member board of trustees that include Sheryl Carpionato, Coates, company controller Gary Famiglietti and personal attorney Angelo Marocco, according to the company release.
