Mark S. Lies

Mark S. Lies is a Director of BlackRock Capital Investment Corporation. Mr. Lies served as the Global Head of Loan Products and Co-Head of Leveraged Finance for Lehman Brothers Holdings, Inc. from 2000 to 2005. Additionally, he sat on the following firm wide committees for Lehman Brothers: High Yield, Investment Grade, and Business Development. Prior to Lehman Brothers, Mr. Lies was the Global Co-Head of Leveraged Finance for Bear Stearns & Co., Inc. In addition, he has been employed by Bank of America Corp. and Chevron Corp. Mr. Lies served as a Board Member and Co-Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Montana State University Foundation from 2008 to 2011. Mr. Lies received a B.S., summa cum laude, in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University and an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of California, Los Angeles.
