Alexander Vladimirovich Bazarov

Alexander Bazarov was born in 1962. In 1984 he graduated from Shevchenko National University of Kiev, specialising in Political Economics. Ph.D in economics. Mr. Bazarov holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania (USA). In 1985–1988 he lectured at a number of higher education institutions and then embarked on a career in banking. In 1996 he held the position of CEO of the Ukrainian Office of Credit Suisse. In 1997 he was Chairman of the Executive Board of the Ukrainian Office of Credit Suisse. In April 2004 he joined Deutsche Bank as Managing Director and Head of CIS Customer Relations. In July 2008 he was assigned to the position of Director of Corporate Business Department of Sberbank of Russia and became a member of the Executive Board. He was Vice-President of Sberbank of Russia, Director of Major Customer Relations of Sberbank of Russia. In 2012 he became Chairman of the Executive Board of SLB Commercial Bank (further – Sberbank AG). In January 2012 he became Co-Director of the Corporate and Investment Block of Sberbank (CIB). In August 2013 he became a member of the Executive Board of Sberbank of Russia, Deputy Head of Sberbank CIB.
