Charles W Gregg

Chick Gregg is the past President and Chief Operating Officer of the Greater Homes, Inc. He began his career as a heavy/highway/bridge contractor, starting his own construction business at age 27 and selling it 15 years later. In early 1998, he joined Greater Homes, a company of the Greater Construction Corporation, and was part of the team that purchased the company from the founders. When they sold Greater Homes to Meritage Homes the business had gone from building approximately 250 homes to 600 homes per year. Chick Gregg earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Florida in 1972, but his experiences have not been limited to construction/development. Early in his career, he served as a City Commissioner and Mayor of Leesburg, Florida. He went on to serve as County Commissioner and Chairman of the Lake County Commission – and earned his MBA from the Crummer School while serving in that role. He currently serves on the Crummer School’s Board of Overseers.
