Eric Stille

A fourth-generation grocer, Eric Stille is CEO and president of Nugget Markets, an upscale supermarket chain headquartered in Woodland since 1926. Stille and his father, Gene, led the company’s expansion outside of Woodland, acquiring two Alpha Beta stores in 1984 and converting them to Nugget Markets. Today, the company runs 12 Nugget Markets in Northern California, plus Fork Lift in Cameron Park and Sonoma Market in Sonoma. Nugget established an employee-first culture from the very beginning, and that approach continues into the 21st century. The business regularly makes Fortune magazine’s list of the country’s 100 Best Companies to Work For, and People named it one of 50 Companies That Care in 2018.
