Mr. Fisher has represented the Government of the People's Republic of China on international trade matters, handling cases under the Antidumping Law of the United States on fresh garlic and wax candles. Mr. Fisher currently is Senior Advisor for the CITIC Group, which is the third largest enterprise in China. Mr. Fisher currently represents the governments of the Republic of Sudan and the Republic of Suriname. He has also represented the governments of the Dominican Republic, Iceland, and Panama. Mr. Fisher attended Harvard Law School (J.D. 1972), The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C. and Bologna, Italy (M.A. 1967 and Ph.D. 1970), and Washington University (B.A. 1963). He was a participating member of the International Trade Working Group of the President’s Council on Year 2000 Conversion. Mr. Fisher is Chairman of the Give Life Foundation and a Member and Director of the Foundation for America's Blood Centers. He has served as President of the Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation, which he founded in 1983.
