Chris Pettit is a founding partner of Chris Pettit & Associates, a professional corporation in San Antonio. The firm's practice includes helping clients avoid probate, protect their assets, and provide for the security of their loved ones with a well-crafted estate plan in the event of death or disability. His practice includes extensive experience administering trusts and estates. Mr. Pettit has also represented numerous families in claims for negligence and product defects resulting in the death of a loved one. Mr. Pettit has taught law at both the San Antonio School of Law and Our Lady of the Lake University. He is a member of the American and San Antonio Bar Associations, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Trial Lawyers Associations of Texas and San Antonio, and is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. He has also served as a director of the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association and the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. Mr. Pettit serves on the Board of Directors of numerous private corporations and foundations as well as publicly traded companies. Mr. Pettit did his undergraduate work in economics at Harvard University and graduated with distinction at The University of Dallas. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from St Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio, where he was associate editor of The Law Journal.
