Rear Admiral (Retired) Jim Macleod CB CVO

His career has spanned operational roles across the globe; equipment capability procurement; defence strategy and policy; before moving into transformation and strategic HR in the last portion of his career. Most recently (until March 2022) he was Assistant Chief of Defence Staff Personnel Capability and Defence Services Secretary, where responsibilities included: strategic HR policy for 150K service women and men across the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force; HR Transformation; skills; senior military talent management; delivery of major military events (eg D-Day 75); honours, awards and medals; and managing the relationship between The Royal Household and Defence. He retired from active service in summer 2022 and amongst a range of transformation and leadership advisory roles is an advisor to WithYouWithMe.
