He is currently focused on Machine Perception and Autonomy at Emesent Pty Ltd, a spin out from the CSIRO Robotics and Autonomous Systems Group. He currently is responsible for drone perception for the CSIRO/Emesent/Georgia Tech team in the DARPA SubTerranean Challenge Systems Track. He spent 13 years in the regular Army as a RAEME and RAAC officer, spending the most time working with tracks in the 1st Brigade. Upon leaving full-time service he worked for BHP, completed post-graduate study, and for the past seven years has been focused entirely on building professional mastery as a Roboticist. He has developed a number of agricultural, mining and consumer robots for various clients in Australia.
