She is director of communications for OceanGate and an expedition team leader. Also a “Comms and Tracking Team Member” for Titanic expedition. She is descended from Isidor and Ida Straus who co-founded Macy’s, an elderly couple depicted in the movie "Titanic" who died in the Titanic.
