Greg Olafson

In January 2025, BDT & MSD Partners (“BDT & MSD”) announced that Greg Olafson has been appointed President, Co-Head of Global Credit & Co-Chief Investment Officer. Olafson joined BDT & MSD from The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., where he served as Global Head of Private Credit, Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Olafson began his career at Goldman Sachs in 2001 and has held a variety of senior leadership positions over the past two decades. Olafson is actively involved in the community, serving on the Board of Directors of The Ronald O. Perelman Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center in New York. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the University of Windsor, Canada, and an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
