Jessica Rossman, Houston attorney and civic leader, died unexpectedly on March 31 2025 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at the age of 56. She spent 21 years at United Airlines and its predecessor Continental Airlines as senior managing director and managing counsel for international affairs. She served in leadership roles that raised money for AIDS prevention research and for equity and inclusion of the LGBTQ community. Her Houston community leadership roles included Chairman of the Board of the AIDS Foundation; service on the boards of Planned Parenthood; Kids' Meals; Recipe for Success; and advisory board of the Latin Women's Initiative. A native of Austin, Texas, she spent parts of her youth in Mexico City and the South of France, experiences that instilled in her a lifelong passion for travel and culture. She received a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991, and J.D. from the University of California, Boalt Hall School of Law in 1994.
