Andrew Sidamon-Eristoff

Mr. Eristoff, a Republican, represented the Fourth District, on the East Side of Manhattan. He graduated cum laude from Princeton University and received a law degree from Georgetown University. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Constantine Sidamon-Eristoff of New York. The bridegroom's mother, Anne Phipps Sidamon-Eristoff, is the chairwoman of the American Museum of Natural History. His father, a former official in the Environmental Protection Agency, is of counsel to Patterson, Belknap, Webb & Tyler, a New York law firm. The bridegroom's maternal grandparents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard Phipps of Old Westbury, L.I. Mr. Phipps was a philanthropist and horticulturist and his wife, Harriet Phipps, was the president of the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York. Henry Phipps, the bridegroom's great-grandfather, was a partner of Andrew Carnegie and the president of the United States Steel Corporation.
