Formerly President and CEO of the UA Foundation, Imwalle has a long and well-respected history of fundraising in Tucson. He joined the UA Foundation staff after moving to Tucson in 1978 and held the roles of Development Director, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and most recently, President and CEO since 1991. Imwalle was responsible for planning and implementing the University’s one billion dollar capital campaign, called Campaign Arizona, which began in 1997. Since his recent retirement, he has been consulting in the field of philanthropy. A graduate of the University of Oregon, he is currently Chair of the Board of Directors for Bank of Tucson and a member of the Board of Directors for the Downtown Development Corporation. He is past chair of the Tucson Airport Authority, Tucson Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, and the Metropolitan Tucson Convention & Visitors Bureau.
