Helena Foulkes, executive vice president of CVS Health, has been named CEO of Hudson’s Bay Company, Chain Store Age reported. Foulkes, also president of CVS Pharmacy, will step into the role Feb. 19 2018. She will be in charge of HBC’s global strategy and operations for all banners, which include Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue and Hudson’s Bay. At CVS, Foulkes oversees operations of the chain’s 10,000 stores, supply chain, marketing and retail. Retail represents a shrinking share of CVS’ business as the company focuses more on health care through its acquisition of Aetna, per The Wall Street Journal. She was Executive Vice President of CVS Health Corporation and President of CVS Pharmacy since January 2014; Executive Vice President and Chief Health Care Strategy and Marketing Officer of CVS Health Corporation from March 2011 through December 2013; Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of CVS Health Corporation from January 2009 through February 2011. Ms. Foulkes is also a member of the Board of Directors of The Home Depot, Inc., a leading home improvement retailer.
