John Hallmark

John Hallmark is a director in the Office of Public Policy of Ernst & Young LLP in Washington, DC. In his role, John interacts with congressional offices and federal agencies on behalf of the firm’s legislative and regulatory interests. Heis experienced on financial services regulation and the legislative and political processes ofCapitol Hill. John joined EY from the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) where he served as Managing Director of Government Relations. Before joining SIFMA, John was a legislative staffer working on issues before the Senate Banking Committee and, later, the Senate Finance Committee. John earned a BA from Georgetown University and a JD from the Georgetown University Law Center. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association.
