Kurt M Landgraf

Kurt M. Landgraf, a former corporate executive with deep experience in financial accountability, information technology, and integrated business strategies, was named President-elect of Washington College in May of 2017; he took office July 1. Landgraf comes to Washington College with a decades-long résumé as a senior executive with DuPont and a 13-year tenure as President and CEO of Educational Testing Service (ETS) Born in Newark, New Jersey, Landgraf earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration from Wagner College, a small liberal arts college on Staten Island, and then launched his business career in the pharmaceuticals industry. He went on to earn three master’s degrees: an M.A. in economics from Pennsylvania State University, an M.Ed. in educational administration from Rutgers University, and an M.S. in sociology from Western Michigan University. President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Landgraf is president and chief executive officer of Educational Testing Service, a private non-profit educational testing and measurement organization, and joined ETS in that position in 2000. Prior to that, he was executive vice president and chief operating officer of E.I. Du Pont de Nemours and Company, where he previously held a number of senior leadership positions, including chief financial officer. Mr. Landgraf is also a director of ETS, IKON Office Solutions, Inc. and Louisiana-Pacific Corporation. Corning director since 2007. His wife, Rita M. Landgraf, is the former secretary of the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, teaches in University of Delaware’s College of Health Services. He has four grown children – Christopher, Shawn, Mark, and Lauren – and two granddaughters, twins Layla and Olivia.
