Raymond M. Bukaty, 46, joined Western Digital in 1999 as vice president, corporate law, and was named general counsel and secretary in 2002. Prior to joining the company, and beginning in 1995, Bukaty served Fluor Corp., Aliso Viejo, Calif., as assistant general counsel for that company's corporate group. Earlier, he was a partner with the law firm Riordan and McKinzie, Los Angeles, Calif., specializing in securities, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital funds and leveraged buyout funds. Reporting to chairman and chief executive officer Matt Massengill, Bukaty oversees Western Digital's corporate law, intellectual property and risk management departments as well as the Office of Secretary to the Corporation. Raymond M. Bukaty received in 1983 combined juris doctor and master's of business administration degrees from the University of Southern California and earned a bachelor's degree from Stanford University in 1979.
