Steven Agee joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City's Oklahoma City Branch Board of Directors in 2006. He is interim dean and professor of economics at Oklahoma City University. Mr. Agee was formerly the president and chief operating officer of Agee Energy, LLC. He is the chairman of the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board, a board member of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association, as well as treasurer and board member of The Economic Club of Oklahoma. He serves on the board and as vice president of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Orchestra. He is also a member of the Oklahoma City Economic Roundtable. Prior to leading Agee Energy, he was president and chief operating officer for Lee & Agee, Inc., a privately owned oil and gas production and gas gathering company in Oklahoma City. He was also the president and chief operating officer for XAE Corporation, a privately owned oil and gas production and exploration company in Oklahoma City. Mr. Agee began his career as an economics professor at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, after completing his graduate studies in economics at the University of Kansas, where he also taught economics courses. He has served as president and on the board of directors for the Petroleum Club of Oklahoma City, as well as on the Industry Advisory Committee and Royalty Owners Advisory Committee for the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. Mr. Agee holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma, a master's degree in economics from the University of Kansas and a Ph.D. in economics, also from KU.
