Emily Rose

Ms. Rose, who will keep her name, is a producer for the Cable News Network in New York and a consultant to it. A graduate of the Brearley School and Yale University, she received a master's degree in early modern history from Oxford University. Her father is the president of the real-estate development company of Rose Associates in New York. Her mother, Joanna S. Rose, is the chairwoman of Partisan Review magazine. The bride is a granddaughter of Mrs. Philip E. Semel of New York and the late Mr. Semel, and of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel B. Rose. Her husband is Professor James H Marrow, a graduate of the Riverdale Country School and the University of Minnesota, earned M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in art history from the University of California at Berkeley, where he teaches the history of art. He is the author of several books on northern Renaissance art. His father was the president of the Marrow Manufacturing Company, which made artificial flowers in New York. The bridegroom is a grandson of the late Louis Chalif, who was the ballet master of the Metropolitan Opera and who founded the Chalif School of Dancing in New York.
