As Executive Vice President and CTO, William Strecker oversees In-Q-Tel’s technology assessment and solutions architectures development. The team’s mission is to help identify and evaluate innovative technology solutions that will address the needs of the U.S. Intelligence Community, which includes engaging with IQT’s government customers to determine technology requirements and to identify and evaluate technologies for their effectiveness and potential mission impact prior to an IQT strategic investment. In this role, Mr. Strecker also directs the development of viable solutions frameworks, reference architectures, and solutions plans that prioritize and address critical technology needs within IQT’s various IC partner communities. Prior to joining In-Q-Tel, he was a General Partner at Flagship Ventures. He also served as Senior Vice President, Technology and Corporate Development, and CTO of Compaq Computer Corp. Before that, Mr. Strecker was with Digital Equipment Corp. for 28 years in various executive and senior technical positions, most recently as SVP Corporate Strategy & Technology and CTO. Mr. Strecker holds a Ph.D., MS, and BS in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and holds 16 patents and is the author of numerous technical publications.
