Lawrence A Hilsheimer

Larry Hilsheimer is President and Chief Operating Officer of Nationwide Direct & Customer Solutions, a post created in 2009 to focus on internet strategy and operations, affinity, strategic alliances and Nationwide’s call center-based sales units. In addition, he oversees Nationwide Bank, Nationwide Better Health, Veterinary Pet Insurance and Nationwide’s Customer Services organization. Larry joined Nationwide as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2007 from Deloitte & Touche USA, LLP, where he held numerous positions as a partner, including Vice Chairman and Regional Managing Partner. He also served on the board of directors of the Deloitte Foundation. Larry serves the community as a board member for Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Battelle for Kids. Previously he chaired the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce Board, CompeteColumbus, the Central Ohio United Way Campaign, served as a board member of the Columbus Downtown Development Corporation / Capitol South Board and many other community and civic organizations. Larry received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University and his law degree from Capital University Law School. He also sits on the Dean’s Advisory Council at the Fisher College of Business and is a board member of The Ohio State University Alumni Association.
