Prior to joining Crosstex, Mr. Lafield worked for five years as a consultant involved in all phases of acquiring, building, owning and operating midstream assets and providing natural gas services. Mr. Lafield founded and was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Triumph Natural Gas from 1989 to 1995 and the President and Chief Operating Officer of Nagasco, which he founded with Apache Corporation, from 1986 to 1989. Mr. Lafield served as President of Producers Gas Company, a subsidiary of Lear Petroleum Corporation and Senior Vice President of Lear Petroleum Corporation, from 1980 to 1986. Formerly, Mr. Lafield worked for Texas Oil & Gas from 1977 to 1980 and began his career in 1972 as an operations engineer for Atlantic Richfield Company. Mr. Lafield has acquired over 35 years of energy-industry experience. Mr. Lafield received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University and is a graduate of the Executive Program at Stanford University.
