John Simpson

Prior to joining Canyon in 2005, Mr. Simpson was Vice Chairman of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein ("DKW"). Mr. Simpson spent 15 years at DKW and its predecessor, Wasserstein Perella & Co., where he was a senior mergers and acquisitions professional and ran several of the Firm's largest business units. Previously, Mr. Simpson practiced law with Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York. Prior to that Mr. Simpson served as a law clerk to the Honorable William A. Norris of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He is a graduate of Williams College (A.B., summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, Economics and Political Science) and Harvard Law School (J.D., magna cum laude; Editor, Harvard Law Review).
