Gregory D Hawkins

Dr. Gregory D. Hawkins is a Managing Director and Senior Trader at Caxton Associates LP. He joined the firm in March 2001. From 1999 until joining Caxton, Dr. Hawkins was a Principal in Hawkins McEntee Advisors, L.L.C., a registered commodity pool operator located in Greenwich, Connecticut. He was one of the founding partners of Long-Term Capital Management (“LTCM“) where his primary responsibilities from 1993 through 1999 included overseeing strategies in mortgages, Japan, Asia, and emerging markets. Dr. Hawkins also oversaw technology and new business development for the firm. Prior to LTCM he was a Managing Director at Salomon Brothers from 1985 through 1993 where he focused on fixed income arbitrage. Dr. Hawkins received both a B.S. degree in 1976 and a Ph.D. in Financial Economics in 1982 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, after which he was an Assistant Professor at University of California in Berkeley.
