Mr. Andrew David Fredman is a Managing Director at Fir Tree Partners L.P. He co-founded Fir Tree in 1994. Prior to joining Fir Tree, Mr. Fredman was the Managing Director at Everest Capital, a global multi-discipline investment fund with over $2 billion under management. At Everest, he concentrated on capital structure arbitrage, and opportunistic debt and equity investments. Mr. Fredman analyzed, invested, and traded in the debt of numerous distressed issuers, serving on creditors committees and overseeing reorganization and liquidation activities as needed. Additionally, at Everest, he assisted with overall firm direction and strategic planning. Prior to Everest, Mr. Fredman was a Portfolio Manager at Associated Capital and a Founding Member at Banque Paribas’ proprietary Equity and High Yield Arbitrage Group in New York, which concentrated principally on event driven investment including investment in bankrupt and distressed companies. He has served on the board of Primary Network Holdings, which was funded through a private senior secured high-yield financing and subsequently sold to Mpower Communications Corporation. Mr. Fredman received a M.B.A. from Columbia University and a B.A. in Economics from Tulane University.
