David Pollock’s extensive business career has spanned 35 years and involved him living on three continents. From 1998 - 2005, as the CEO of Stormwater Management, he led dramatic growth and created an acclaimed internal environment for the company’s employees. Previously David had a broad international career with leading companies including: Cummins Engine Company, Onan Corporation, Hyster/NMHG, Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug and Piston Bully. During his career he has successfully grown businesses, guided companies out of leveraged situations and recruited and developed great people. David is a hands-on leader who lived and worked in Asia (12 years) and Europe (10 years) before settling in Portland in 1995. Currently, David is a senior advisor to Ashoka, the organization which supports social entrepreneurs globally. He is also a Director of Ecotrust Forest LLC. David is active in the World President’s Organization (founding board of Portland Chapter), World Affairs Council (Advisory Board), Oregon Business Association (Economic board), and actively supports a number of philanthropic endeavors including Mercy Corps, the Portland Art Museum, Trillium Family Services, and the Tibetan Community. He and Shirley, his wife of 39 years, enjoy the arts and the outdoors. They have two grown children and a recent grandchild. David has degrees from the University of Redlands (BA) and the University of Virginia (MBA). He and Shirley were Peace Corps Volunteers (Korea) from 1969-1972.
