John Skipper is a General Manager in the Customer Operations Department at Con Edison, a Fortune 500 Company that provides electric, gas and steam services to over three million customers in the metro New York City area. His organization is responsible for collections, meter reading and service turn–ons in Manhattan, the Bronx and Westchester. Skipper began his career with Con Edison in 1985 and has held positions of increasing responsibility in the legal department, energy services, electric operations and customer operations. He serves as a member of the company's diversity council, is a facilitator for a training program for supervisors and mentors employees in the company's management training program. Skipper is a member of the Board of Directors of the Jackie Robinson Foundation where he is the Chair of the Program Committee. John also serves as a member of the Board of Managers for the Harlem YMCA. Skipper received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1985 and a J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 1992. He resides in Montclair, New Jersey with his wife Suzanne, sons Jack and Scott and daughter Chloe.
