Richard Stone

Before attending law school, did graduate work at Merkaz Harav Kook (Talmudic Academy). After two years of private practice with the Washington, D.C., firm of Covington & Burling, spent four years as assistant to the Attorney General, preparing briefs and making arguments before the U.S. Supreme Court. During 1972-73, was in charge of all tax cases in the Supreme Court. Spent the year before joining the Columbia faculty in 1974 studying Talmudic law in Israel.
