Founder, Vivint, Inc.- sold to Blackstone in 2012

Todd Pedersen, the Utah-based founder of the popular Vivint smart-home and security company. Back in 2012, Vivint was acquired by Blackstone for “north of $2 billion,” per Pedersen himself. The Vivint founder, who also moonlights as a real estate developer, lives primarily in Orem, Utah, where he owns a contemporary mansion overlooking his own golf course.
