Once an upstart emerging markets star at Fidelity, Robert Citrone cut his hedge fund teeth at Julian Robertson’s legendary Tiger Management before co-founding Discovery Capital in 1999. The Connecticut-based firm’s Global Opportunity fund recorded net returns of 3.53% in 2011, increasing its assets under management to $5.2 billion by the end of the year.
