John R Colson

John Colson has been President and CEO of Quanta Services since its inception in 1997. With experience in every aspect of electrical contracting, John provides the vision that guides the companys growth as a complete source for all network infrastructure contracting services for the electric power, gas, telecommunications and broadband cable industries. Before spearheading the creation of Quanta Services, John had a 27-year career at PAR Electrical Contractors, Inc., a builder of high-voltage transmission lines, distribution lines, substations and related electric utility infrastructure. As President and owner of PAR, John was instrumental in the companys decision to participate in the founding of Quanta Services.
