Séverin Cabannes

Mr. Cabannes is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Société Générale Group. He began his career in 1983 as a Financial Analyst at Crédit National. He then joined Elf Atochem in 1986 as Assistant to the Finance Department before becoming Head of polyethylen production units and then from 1991-1995 was a member of the Strategy Department, becoming Director of Strategy. In 1997 he became Director of Strategy at La Poste Group, followed by Deputy CEO and CFO, 1998-2001. In 2001-2002 he was CFO of the Société Générale Group and a member of the Group Management Committee. Since 2001 he has been a Member of Société Générale's Komercni Banka Supervisory Board and Chairman of the Audit Committee. In 2002, he became Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Strategy at the Finance Steria Group and in 2003 became Chief Executive Officer of Steria Group. In 2007, he became CAO of the Société Générale Group and a Member of the Executive Committee. Mr. Cabannes graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris.
