What Works Cities is a new, national initiative from Bloomberg Philanthropies. Its mission is to bring new tools, support and best practices to cities to elevate and accelerate the use of data and evidence that will engage citizens, make government more effective and improve people’s lives. What Works Cities will work with 100 cities with populations ranging from 100,000 to 1,000,000, providing on-the-ground training, access to world-class expertise, connections to peer cities tackling similar challenges and help with the implementation of technical solutions.
The world-class partners that will be assisting cities in the initiative include: Results for America, who will manage the campaign, Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Government Excellence; Harvard University’s Government Performance Lab; the Sunlight Foundation; and the Behavioral Insights Team. |
