This project builds on prior and current competency based education policy work on the part of both the Nellie Mae Education Foundation (NMEF) and Knowledgeworks. This project is mostly focused on taking the next step to flesh out the first three of the four areas of focus of the K-12 Federal Policy Framework for Competency Education: federal accountability polices, assessment systems; and federal support to states and districts in the development and implementation of a system of supports and interventions to help students advance to college and career readiness. |
