Cheryl A. Fama came on board May 1, 2007 as the Peninsula Health Care District’s Executive Director.
A lifetime resident of San Mateo County, Ms. Fama began her career as a critical care nurse in 1970 at Seton Medical Center and held administrative positions in hospitals from 1981 until 2006, when she retired as President/CEO of Saint Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco.
Ms. Fama currently serves on the following boards:
Saint Francis Hospital Foundation Board and Audit Committee
Northern California Transplant Donor Network Board as Secretary/Treasurer
San Mateo Leadership Board and its Curriculum and Nominating Committees
Burlingame Rotary Club Board as Secretary and on its Program Committee.
Ms. Fama holds a Master’s Degree in Pubic Administration and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing, both from the University of San Francisco, and still maintains an active RN license. |
