BSMG Worldwide said it will merge with Weber Shandwick Worldwide to form a public relations company with about $500 million in revenue.
The company will be named Weber Shandwick Worldwide, and the merger is expected to be completed by Sept. 30. BSMG Chairman Jack Leslie and CEO Harris Diamond will be chairman and CEO, respectively, of the merged company. They will report to Larry Weber, who heads the newly formed Advanced Marketing Services group of Interpublic Group of Cos. (NYSE: IPG), a New York-based advertising holding company. |
