Milstein has been an outspoken supporter of Canary Mission, both on his personal Twitter account and in writing.
Milstein published an op-ed in the Jerusalem Post that decried the Forward for publishing reports critical of Canary Mission and its financial supporters. In it, he praised Canary Mission for its "profound impact" and creating "a strong deterrent against antisemitism and BDS."
Milstein's Jerusalem Post column cites a year-end report from the Israel on Campus Coalition, where he is a board member, with a section devoted to highlighting Canary Mission's activities in the 2016-17 school year.
Milstein has been alleged to be a founder and financial backer of Canary Mission in an unaired documentary by Al Jazeera about Israeli lobbying in the United States. However, Milstein has denied this allegation and the source of the claim in the documentary has asserted that his words were taken out of context by the filmmakers. |
