* Joan Petersilia is the Adelbert H. Sweet Professor of Law at Stanford Law School, and the Co-Director of Stanford’s Criminal Justice Center. She is the author of over 100 articles and 10 books about crime and public policy, and her research on parole reform, prisoner re- integration and sentencing policy has fueled changes in policies throughout the nation. Her books include When Prisoners Come Home: Parole and Prisoner Reentry, The Oxford Handbook of Sentencing and Corrections, and Crime and Public Policy. She is a past Presi- dent of the American Society of Criminology, and the 2014 recipient of the Stockholm Prize in Criminology. |
