As Director of Information Technology, Susan managed all projects and initiatives involving hardware, software, voice/data systems, and instructional technology for a PS-12 school with 2 campuses, 170 employees, 850 students, 400 desktop computers, 300 mobile devices and a BYOD program in grades 5-12. She cultivated and managed external vendor relationships and negotiated favorable contracts valued up to $250K for LAN/WAN, phone, security systems and hardware/software service and support.
During her tenure, Susan transformed an under-performing technology department into a professionally managed, well respected team and spearheaded the adoption of innovative instructional technology tools, including social media and increased professional development opportunities for faculty and staff. Operational accomplishments included developing streamlined data management processes that increased productivity and improved user efficiency in a centralized Student Information System (Blackbaud) and deploying a database driven website.
A passionate advocate of Digital Citizenship education for students and staff, she oversaw implementation of the Common Sense Media Digital Citizenship Curriculum, making Holy Trinity the first Common Sense Education Certified School in Florida.
