Notes Consul General Ambassador Zeev Boker ​​​​​​ icon_zoom.png Ambassador Zeev Boker has been the Consul General of Israel to New England since October 2018. Ambassador Boker has a diplomatic career spanning three decades and served as the sixth Israeli Ambassador to Ireland. He was also the first Ambassador of Israel to Slovakia (2006 -2010). Ambassador Boker joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a cadet in 1987, before serving as the deputy chief of mission at Israel’s embassies in Czechoslovakia (1990-1993) and the Netherlands (1997-2003). Ambassador Boker also served as the Deputy Diplomatic Advisor to the late Prime Minister of Israel, Yitzhak Rabin. He has held several posts within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs including Director of the International Relations Department and Director of the South East Europe Department. Ambassador Boker was born and raised on Kibbutz Afek in the North of Israel. He graduated with a Masters in Political Science (cum Laude) from the Hebrew University (Jerusalem).
