The Australian Defence Export Office coordinates Australian Government efforts to support the export endeavours of Australian defence industry and competitively position Australian companies in international markets. It is responsible for delivering the initiatives outlined in the Australian Government’s Defence Export Strategy, and works closely with a number of Commonwealth agencies, state and territory governments, and defence industry to enhance Australian industry’s access to access for foreign markets and realise export success internationally.
Alyssa is responsible for:
- Managing the delivery of new initiatives set out under the Defence Export Strategy, designed to support Australian defence industry to access and leverage new export markets;
- Leading the development of government policies and programs to promote defence industry participation in domestic and international programs;
- Managing strategic and operational planning activities that assess the risks and opportunities to defence industry and the Australian Government;
- Generating and implementing continuous improvement initiatives for the effective delivery of defence industry policy and programs; and
- Managing relationships with government and industry stakeholders and foreign partners to deliver export success for Australian industry and support the capability needs of the Australian Defence Force. |
