Vice President, Robotics and Unmanned Systems: Directly responsible for the
profit, loss, and daily management of an advanced technology development division
of the largest privately owned defense contractor in the U.S. Personally revitalized
the research portfolio of this troubled organization with technical emphasis on the
innovative design of tactical mobile robots, adaptive algorithms, cognitive
computing architectures, and tunable weapons effects supporting a broad array of
unmanned systems and advanced camouflage devices under development by the
U.S. DoD.
Director, CRASAR (Center for Robot-Assisted Search and Rescue). Directly
responsible for creation, operational deployment, logistical support, and growth of
the world’s first non-profit robot-assisted emergency response organization.
Personally led volunteers from two companies, an academic institution and
government research laboratory on the world’s first deployment of mobile robots for
humanitarian emergency response in the immediate aftermath of the devastating
attack on the World Trade Center in September 2001 |
