- Built the worlds’ first expert system (KNOBSAR) for allocation robotic search
assets in collapsed structure rescue based on personal experience as a rescue
volunteer in the aftermath of the Oklahoma City Bombing (April 19, 1995).
- Selected from > 100 other graduate students to present research to the NASA
Director (Daniel Goldin) and Apollo 17 astronaut Dr. Harrison Schmitt with
emphasis on robot-assisted rescue in space
- Selected to attend Army fellowship program: Intelligent Technologies for
Operations Research [ITOR]
- Awarded skill identifiers in artificial intelligence (-4K) and robotics (-4R)
- Presented robot-assisted rescue research as an invited speaker at NASA JPL, and
Pierce County’s Emergency Response Task Force
- Completed FEMA’s Level 1 Urban Search and Rescue Training course
- Graduated with an MSc in Math and Computer Science |
