| Notes | James Clark was the initial CEO, founder and funder for Netscape. In January 1995, he hired James Barksdale, former CEO McCaw Cellular Communications Inc., to take over as CEO. Clark continued to act as head of public relations and Chairman of the Board for Netscape. When Netscape was acquired by American Online in February 1999, Clark received $1.5 billion and ended his association with the company. |
