Richard Knight

Richard is the chief ambassador to Pine River’s clients, with responsibility for maintaining enduring relationships and managing the firm’s reputation. As Head of Business Development, Richard is responsible for all aspects of capital formation, marketing, branding, client service and communications. He serves on the firm’s Executive, Operating, Brokerage, Terms and Charitable Initiatives committees, and also sits on the board of the Pine River Foundation. Prior to joining Pine River in 2011, Richard was a Managing Director and Head of Marketing and Investor Relations at King Street Capital Management, from 2006 to 2011. From 1994 to 2006, Richard was a Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns where he held a number of senior positions in investment banking and capital markets, including Head of Transaction Development and Head of European Leveraged Finance. He started his career at Credit Suisse in 1989 where he was a member of the Global Banking and Structured Finance groups. Richard received a BS in Chemical Engineering from University of Bath in 1988. He was admitted to the partnership upon joining the Firm in 2011.
