Dan Li

Dan's global investment experience and Greater China expertise enable him to constantly push to improve performance in a complicated and fiercely competitive area of the investment universe. Dan is the Portfolio Manager of the Pine River China Fund and co-heads trading in a full range of Asia investment strategies. Prior to joining Pine River in 2012, Dan was a Managing Director at Magnetar Capital from 2005 to 2011, where he was head of its China business and Financial Engineering Group and served on its Fixed Income Investment Committee. From 2000 to 2004, Dan was a Director at Citadel Investments, where he managed the Risk and Information and Technology/Financial Engineering teams for Citadel’s Global Credit Business. From 1996 to 2000, Dan was a Senior Manager at Arthur Andersen, and prior to that he was an Assistant Portfolio Manager at Federal Home Loan Bank - Des Moines. He received an MBA with distinction from State University of New York, Buffalo; and a BS in Radio Physics from Lanzhou University. Dan was admitted to the partnership upon joining the Firm in 2012.
