Martin D Feinstein

Mr. Feinstein was the Chairman of Farmers Group, Inc. and Farmers New World Life Insurance Company from 1997 to July 2005, and served as the Chief Executive Officer of Farmers Group, Inc. from 1997 to April 2005 and as President and Chief Operating Officer of Farmers Group, Inc. from 1995 to 1996. He retired from Farmers Group, Inc. in July 2005. Prior to 1995, Mr. Feinstein held various management positions with Farmers Group, Inc., including Senior Vice President -- Property/Casualty Operations, Senior Vice President -- Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President -- Chief Marketing Officer from 1980 to 1994. Farmers Group, Inc. is a holding company of Farmers New World Life Insurance Company. Farmers Group, Inc. was an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of B.A.T. Industries p.l.c., an affiliate of BAT, from 1988 to 1998. Mr. Feinstein was a member of the board of directors of B.A.T. Industries p.l.c. from January 1997 to September 1998, and was a member of the Group Management Board of Zurich Financial Services from 1998 to April 2005. Mr. Feinstein commenced serving on the Board of RAI as of November 30, 2005. He also is a member of the boards of directors of GeoVera Holdings, Inc. and Almin p.l.c.
